Mac Attack!

My Mac is starting to come together& actually feel like my computer. I have my editing software back, I have my actions re-loaded and there are lots of photos just waiting to be edited. I was in crazy Mac love mode last night, so I decided to edit some photos I had kicking around from a few weeks ago. My friend owns a super gorgeous mare named Holly. I mean, seriously gorgeous. She also has gorgeous tack for the mare.

Look at that beautiful horse! I have lots more that still need to be edited, but I ended up getting a super bad migraine so had to call it a night early. Clearly, I am not a party animal anymore. I was curled up with my dog by 9:30PM on a Saturday night ..time to reevaluate my age. The migraine threw me off for the rest of today, and I ended up having a bad day at agility& a crappy day in general. Then at work we had a crazy lady ..I will blog about her tomorrow, perhaps. She was certifiable.

Now, I'm finally finished with work for the evening& so I can go home, take a few photos of my beautiful Vizsla, upload them, edit& post them. Have I mentioned that I absolutely adore my Mac? I do.

Busy weeks!

So I went away to an agility trial last weekend. It was me, my trainer& 3 dogs. Only 1 of those three was competing, the other 2 just tag along because we like them ;) Penn can't compete until she's 18 months old and Panda is an older dog with an injury who no longer competes. Since my blog isn't really focused on agility, I'll just say that in 4 runs we got a third& fourth place. Not stellar.

Moving on, I have wanted to get back to blogging for some time now& even made a few half-hearted attempts over the last few months. My laptop was quickly biting the dust so that made using it a pain. I finally made the decision and caved. I bought an iMac. It is lovely ..even if it left my wallet crying salty tears. I just need to get my PTM actions moved from my laptop to this to be completely re-ready to start taking& editing photos. I'm so excited. I managed to finally upload some photos from our agility club a few weeks ago& this photo really stuck out to me-

Look at the crazy face on that brown Border Collie! This is the dog I compete with and he is crazy awesome. I love my little Vizsla, but she will never be as fast or as focused as this guy on an agility course!! Some day I will get a video uploaded to youtube and show you guys just what I mean when I say fast. I also need to get a video of Penn doing all her tricks! She is going in to get her girly bits cut out on Wednesday, so I think if tomorrow is nice I'm going to make Garret have a photo session with the both of us in the morning.

Okay, I'm so sorry that I'm rusty with this whole blogging thing and I haven't been doing this enough so I feel like I have ten million things to say and that my posting is just all over the place. I'm going to make a point to be sure to blog at least 3 times a week from here on out& hopefully find some more photo link-ups to enter+ get some life back here! Tomorrow, at the very least, I'll take some photos of Penn's big day out& have something to blog about for Monday afternoon! Now, I'm off to bother my sleepy little family and have some quality snuggle time with all of them.. I hope your Friday night is just as enjoyable as mine!

Worst spring.

I've been so busy! My laptop is getting ready to bite the dust& in the next week, I will have a beautiful new Mac desktop along with new motivation to shoot, edit& write! In the meantime, let's all bask in the glory of spring's arrival ..unless you live where I do. In which case, we're pulling out our winter boots, mittens& hats in preparation for 10-15cm of snow overnight. In honor of that, here's Penny's advice:

Moral of the story? This sucks. Waiting patiently for spring to arrive on this little island. In the meantime, I'm just pretending I live somewhere tropical& avoiding going outdoors. Hopefully a hateful winter/ spring means that we're getting a lovely summer. If we have a miserable summer, I'm really packing up Penny& moving somewhere else!

Good Friday

Okay. I have been the biggest slacker when it comes to blogging ever.. I keep saying I'm going to get back into the swing of things& start blogging again. Then I don't.

I'm getting my whole website redesigned in the very near future& it will include a lovely blog. This means I'll have to get my rear in gear& put it to good use! My life has been very busy ..filled with swimming, taking photos& running agility dogs. I made plans to run the Disney half-marathon next winter so I guess at some point I should start running again.

Is Good Friday the day Jesus died? If so, I feel it's a tad ironic to call it a good day for all those Christians. I only know you're supposed to go to church& not eat meat. Thank god bacon isn't meat ;) Easter is definitely my favorite holiday because I love chocolate& the fact that it means that it's getting closer to the summer! Since today was determined to be a spring day, I packed up the boyfriend& the dog and we headed to a dog park where Penny had fun chasing dogs, chasing balls& running away from a boy dog who thought she was especially pretty. My girl is too classy for that nonsense. Poor old dog, he was just feeling the effects of spring.

Guys, I totally forget how to write an effective, funny blog post so forgive my next few posts which will be awkward& filled with shaking off my dusty (and lacking-even-when-in-full-force) writing skills! Time to hop back on that blogging train& get serious.

At least she'll make this trip to my blog worth it ..because I'm fairly certain the lack of content here did not make for an enjoyable re-entry into my blogging.

8month Penny

You are a bad dog. You make me laugh& you give the best snuggles& puppy kisses ever though so I guess I will keep you despite your bad behavior! I especially love the stupid look on your face when I say certain things to you. For example:

What Mom? I don't look that dumb, do I?

Oh, if only she knew. In her mind, she is the best looking, smartest dog in all the lands. She is what all other Vizslas should be judged against ..I don't think anyone told her that her white toes& chest aren't breed standard!
